Our Approach
Living by Your Values, Not Your Fear
We use evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and the Comprehensive Behavioral (ComB) model, to help you build a different relationship with anxiety, OCD, and body-focused repetitive behaviors. Rather than trying to eliminate difficult thoughts and feelings, we focus on helping you make room for them, so they no longer dictate your choices.
For generalized anxiety, social anxiety, and panic, we draw on core CBT tools to identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns. For OCD, we use ERP, a specialized form of CBT and the gold-standard treatment, to gradually and collaboratively face the situations and thoughts you've been avoiding, building tolerance for uncertainty rather than seeking constant reassurance or certainty. For skin picking and hair pulling, we use ComB to identify the sensory, cognitive, affective, motor, and place-based factors driving the behavior, alongside Habit Reversal skills to build a competing response. Throughout, ACT helps build willingness, allowing thoughts and feelings to be present without needing to fix, avoid, or control them, so you can act in line with what matters most to you.
As a local specialist in OCD, anxiety, and related conditions, I offer compassionate, values-driven care rooted in these approaches. Together, we'll work toward a life shaped by what you care about, not by fear.
